Is this a bug in the release notes or a bug in GNOME? I don't know, how do I confirm it? One thing though - on Ubuntu 9.10 which also uses same version of Gnome, the "Interface" tab is present by default. Well, from messing with gnome-appearance-properties a bit, I think that the fact that the Interface tab is missing is a bug in gnome-appearance-properties. I filed Bug 539993 against control-center to that effect. Description of problem: In section 4.1.4.1 of the release notes ("Icons in menus and buttons") it is mentioned that "To get the old, icon-rich appearance back, select System → Preferences → Appearance, click the Interface tab and enable Show icons in menus." However, in the "Appearance" window, there is no tab called "Interface". The only three tabs are Theme, Background, and Fonts. The 2 commands of gconftool work well, though. This was reproduced on a Fedora 12 GNOME livecd with no updates applied. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 12.0.0-4.fc12.noarch
