I would like to reopen this bug, as I am observing _exactly_ the same behaviour on DELL Latitude D520 hardware. This worked on Fedora 9. And the same installation under WinXP also allows the higher resolutions to display on the external VGA channel. Please find the requested files attached. No, that bug concerns fc14 and concerns an unstable image. This report is about two independently observed secondary-screen outputs with reduced resolution. I do not understand this. Is it really useful to generate a second duplicate, or clone this one with all attachments, just for the pleasure of marking it as a duplicate? Created attachment 381346 [details] xorg.conf file Description of problem: On an HP nc2400 with an Intel 945GM video card that previously was running Centos 5.3 with no video problems. On install of FC12, video was set to 800x600. I installed system-config-display and went to hardware, configuring the monitor of LCD panel 1280x1024, and then seelcted 1024x768 resolution for the setting. I logged out and logged in to reload X, and the video was indeed now at 1024x768. I then pressed the function combination to switch to the external monitor (which is connected via a Belkin KVM), and it comes up only in 800x600 resolution. when I am at the 'both' displays option, then both the internal and external are 800x600. I cannot get the external at 1024x768 as I previously had with Centos. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Whatever is current with FC12. How reproducible: Freddog_de.uk reports a similar problem on the Fedora COmmunity mailing list on a Toshiba. Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
