looks like this same "trick" is used for ppc64 and mips64 too. qt-4.6.2-7.fc12 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 12. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/qt-4.6.2-7.fc12 qt-4.6.2-7.fc11 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 11. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/qt-4.6.2-7.fc11 qt-4.6.2-7.fc12 has been pushed to the Fedora 12 testing repository. looks like src/corelib/arch/sparc/arch.pri contains: *-64 { SOURCES += $$QT_ARCH_CPP/qatomic64.s } else { SOURCES += $$QT_ARCH_CPP/qatomic32.s \ $$QT_ARCH_CPP/qatomic_sparc.cpp } and since we switched to platform linux-g++ everywhere (see bug #478481), this breaks.
