The hardware is a Thinkpad t400s laptop with a touch screen. I too have seen this issue, and think it is likely a duplicate of BZ #584593. No fix as yet, but a work around exists if you are willing to disable the touchscreen. Agreed. I think bug #584593 explains it better then I am here. I'll close this one and work through #584593.
