Description Timothy Grondin 2010-03-20 15:47:39 UTC
Description of problem:
Mouse buttons stop working. Left clicking on anything has no affect.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.6.32.9-67.fc12.x86_64
2.6.32.9-70.fc12.x86_64

How reproducible:
Turn on computer. Wait 30 seconds.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn on computer
2. Log in
3. Mouse buttons stop working.

Actual results:
Mouse buttons stop working

Expected results:
Mouse buttons should work. Its a basic function.

Additional info:

Affects kernel versions 2.6.32.9-67.fc12.x86_64 and 2.6.32.9-70.fc12.x86_64.

Last known good kernel is 2.6.31.12-174.2.22.fc12.x86_64. The 2.6.32* branch appears to have activated the touch screen which never worked before. It does not accept mouse clicks either.

The hardware is a Thinkpad t400s laptop with a touch screen.

I too have seen this issue, and think it is likely a duplicate of BZ #584593.

No fix as yet, but a work around exists if you are willing to disable the touchscreen.

Comment 3 Timothy Grondin 2010-06-07 18:16:30 UTC
Agreed. I think bug #584593 explains it better then I am here.

I'll close this one and work through #584593.

Thanks
