This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for inclusion. After more investigation I find this is not problem in kdm. Even if I start X manualy and run startkde it will throw this traceback and Xwindow segfault. Can't reproduce it, please attach full Xorg log, also what is your GPU. This issue has been proposed when we are only considering blocker issues in the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. It has been denied for the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** If you would still like this issue considered for the current release, ask your support representative to file as a blocker on your behalf. Otherwise ask that it be considered for the next Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** I'm having the same problem: can't log in to KDE, exactly the same symptoms as noteded in the first two lines of the bug description. Moved to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=618690 . In meanwhile I upgraded to Fedora14. Therefore I'm unable to reproduce it on my machine. Moving to 6.3 This request was not resolved in time for the current release. Description of problem: I yesterday upgraded and I'm now unable to log in to KDE using KDM. I can however log into Gnome of Failsafe mode.
