Description of problem:
"Terminator" terminal does not show cursor. For some reason it is the same colour as background. Changing the color of the cursor does not help.

0.95-1

How reproducible:
Compile it from koji and start it

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start terminator
2. try to find the cursor
3.
  
Actual results:
No cursor visible

Expected results:
Visible cursor

Additional info:
This is not a package in rhel6 I guess (yet). The best thing about this shell is that you can split the terminal windows to whatever setup you like. It is very popular nowdays. Maybe somebody can take a look at it?

It used to work on rhel 6 beta1, with beta2 the cursor is not visible.

This isn't in RHEL, and it doesn't appear to be in EPEL. Closing this, as there's not much we can do. I suggest you contact the Fedora maintainer if they're interested in debugging it in EPEL.

Actually you can fix this. The vte package has a bug which makes cursors disappear if the cursor colour is defined, see:

This bug should be filed for component "vte" and not for "distribution".

This is actually the same as/dup of bug 658774 also filed for el6 which contains a patch backported from upstream and there is also Fedora bug 595060.

This is actually a duplicate of bug 658774. The fixes in referenced upstream bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=602596 is already included in RHEL 6.0 packages.

I guess it is something else then but the terminator-0.95-1.el6.rf.noarch has color on cursor with vte-0.24.1-1.fc13.x86_64.rpm on RHEL 6.
