Hi,

I'd like to assign "reopen" or "verified" to the status of bug #64945. (I
am not the author).

The key to making this bug happen (it is very repeatable) is having no swap
partition. There may be some relation to "linux text" mode install but I
didn't do enough tests to verify the relationship. Verified in versions 7.2
and 8.0 in addition to 7.3. Installing from CDs; all pass the checksum
verify. Do identical configuration install with graphic and with swap
partition and will work first time.

Thx

Chuck

Installation without a swap partition is not recommended and you are warned if
you choose to do this during the installation process.
