File: backtrace
Package: mail-notification-5.4-25.fc14 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. Launching mail notification after a fresh install. 2. Open settings dialog 2. Activate checkbox "Play a sound when new mail arrive" 3. Click button to add new mail-account -> immediate crash Package: mail-notification-5.4-25.fc14 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. mail-notification applet is enabled, network is enabled 2. at some point (without any explicit action from me), a notification is shown that the mail-notification applet crashed 3. Comment ----- Opening the System->Preferences->Mail Notification dialog brought the applet back, and showed that there was a new mail from my ISP. Note that for me, it's not when adding a new mail account. I've upgraded from Fedora 12 to Fedora 14, as a new install but with preservation of my home directory, so that the mail notification configuration was still there. The mail notification crashed without any explicit action from me. Package: mail-notification-5.4-25.fc14 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. install mail-notification 2. lauch it with "System > Preferences > Mail notification" 3. click the "Add" button to add a new account 4. mail-notification crashes Package: mail-notification-5.4-25.fc14 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. Clicked on Add button to add 1st email. 2. Program crashed. 3. Comment ----- Start program and click on the Add button. Does the same thing ever time. Package: mail-notification-5.4-25.fc14 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. Fresh default install of Fedora14 2. update everything 3. remove evolution and install mail-notification 4. run mail-notification and click 'Add' 5. mail-notification crashes From the below trace it's obvious that mail-notification is dependent on a icon coming from evolution. Either remove this dependency or add "Requires: evolution" to mail-notification. [@f14vm ~]$ mail-notification (mail-notification:2468): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'evolution' for stock: Icon 'evolution' not present in theme (mail-notification:2468): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed (mail-notification:2468): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_default_render_icon: assertion `base_pixbuf != NULL' failed (mail-notification:2468): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_style_render_icon: assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed (mail-notification:2468): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed (mail-notification:2468): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'evolution' for stock: Icon 'evolution' not present in theme (mail-notification:2468): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed ** CRITICAL **: clearlooks_style_draw_render_icon: assertion `base_pixbuf != NULL' failed aborting... Aborted (core dumped) [@f14vm ~]$ Furher it seems that #648048 is the same bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 654826 *** Kari, as discussed earlier, I can now confirm that I see this bug on a clean F14 x86_64 install with the provided steps. |
