Description Adam Williamson 2012-02-03 20:13:29 UTC
Somehow, F17 Alpha TC1 wound up with a very old build of kdebase-workspace (and some, but not all, other sub-packages of the same .src.rpm). This causes a dependency problem and some file conflicts:

package: ksysguard-4.7.2-14.fc16.x86_64 from myrepo
  unresolved deps:
     ksysguard-libs(x86-64) = 0:4.7.2-14.fc16

kde-workspace-devel-4.8.0-3.fc17.x86_64
kdebase-workspace-4.7.2-14.fc16.x86_64
  /usr/lib64/libpowerdevilui.so

kcm_colors-4.8.0-3.fc17.x86_64
kdebase-workspace-4.7.2-14.fc16.x86_64
  /usr/lib64/kde4/kcm_colors.so
  /usr/share/doc/HTML/en/kcontrol/colors/index.cache.bz2

kdebase-workspace-4.7.2-14.fc16.x86_64
kgreeter-plugins-4.8.0-3.fc17.x86_64
  /usr/lib64/kde4/kgreet_classic.so
  /usr/lib64/kde4/kgreet_generic.so
  /usr/lib64/kde4/kgreet_winbind.so

For TC2, please ensure the latest kdebase-workspace packages are used. This should be an Alpha blocker per criterion: "There must be no file conflicts (cases where the files in some packages conflict but the packages have explicit Conflicts: tags are acceptable) or unresolved package dependencies during a media-based (DVD) install". Dennis speculates this may be because the bleed repository was not cleaned out after the F16 composes.

Comment 1 Andre Robatino 2012-02-10 03:53:16 UTC
Fixed in 17 Alpha TC2, which has different issues (see bugs 789180 and 789181).

Comment 2 Adam Williamson 2012-02-10 05:42:14 UTC
Let's close it, then.
