*** Bug 84285 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This is still true with the 2.4.20-9 kernel. Also still true for Fedora's 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl. I couldn't install RH9 or Fedora without first disconnecting all drives from the Promise controller. When reconnecting the drives, the system freezes during boot-up. RH8.0 gave no problem. Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem persists. The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/ |
