Description drago01 2012-09-02 08:44:44 UTC
Webgl in firefox is currently broken because it got built with gcc 4.7.0 (See:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=830017 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=736477)
According to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=830017#c8 building firefox with gcc 4.7.1 does fix the issue. Currently F17 still ships 4.7.0 in updates (and thus in the buildroot) even though 4.7.1 has been already build in koji (http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=328320).

Please push this to F17 (updates-testing and if there are no issues updates) so that a fixed firefox can be built.

I can confirm that rebuilding xulrunner with gcc-4.7.1-1.fc17.x86_64 fixes the issue.

To take effect the gcc has to be submitted for build root override, right?

No, if it is stable it is in the build root.
