Description Florian Weimer 2012-09-11 09:17:35 UTC
Please apply this patch:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=57131

to make the dbus-protocol.h header file compatible with GCC in C++11 mode.

This has been in rawhide since http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=322180

Is three some other release you meant this bug to apply to?

It would be nice to have it in F17, so that it's possible to compile Qt 5.

Not super excited to be updating core components to help not-in-distribution software compile with bleeding edge C++, but I'll queue this up to go out with a combined dbus update relatively soon.

Ok, I forgot to do this - do you really want it?

No, it's not really critical. It's fixed upstream, so it'll eventually trickle down to Fedora. That's good enough.

Comment 6 J-P Nurmi 2012-09-27 15:41:07 UTC
I'd vote for the _trivial_ patch. It's not only about Qt5 after all.

We've contributors beginning work on qt5 packaging, so getting this fixed sooner rather than later would greatly help those efforts.

I worked on updated dbus-1.4.24 packaging, but if you'd rather pull in the minimal fix, that's fine too.
