Description of problem:

During the specification of storage I have experienced at least two different places where the program is just freezing:

1) 
selecting disks clicking Done
repeat storage: now disks are not big blue, but small and displaying (several instances of the same) black unit names
clicking done
repeat storage: now the screen is totally greyish with no contents. Eventually the system crashed just by being left alone.

2) selecting custom settings, after various selections, a non-responding screen is displayed with big blue disks, but not responding to any mouse clicks on anything e.g Full disk summary... or Error checking storage ... or Done

Can you please retest with the latest tree and the updates image from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=875291#c30 and let me know if you are still seeing problems?  Thanks.

When you hit this problem, does pressing the escape button return the UI to sanity?

I have seen suggestions about this, but it never worked for me.

I think we have this fixed by a combination of factors:

(1) Disabling the lightboxes in custom partitioning.
(2) Fixing a locking problem with yum that would show up regardless of where you were in the installer.
(3) Some better use of decorators to mark methods that can be run in the GTK main loop.
