Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Cloning bug 999804 for RHEL-7 since RHEL-7 is affected too.

Description of problem:

Everytime login to the system, I get spice-vdagent[1359]: Missing virtio device '/dev/virtio-ports/com.redhat.spice.0': No such file or directory

RHEL 6.4 physical machine and KVM machine without virtio driver.

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Install spice-vdagent

2. logout system

3. login system

Actual results:

spice-vdagent[1359]: Missing virtio device '/dev/virtio-ports/com.redhat.spice.0': No such file or directory is output in /var/log/messages

Expected results:

No such error messages should be output.

This is fixed in spice-vdagent-0.14.0-5.el7 moving to MODIFIED.

This has long been fixed, closing this with a resolution of CURRENTRELEASE.
