Description Rodd Clarkson 2013-10-27 22:49:54 UTC
Description of problem:

In Files, when you right click on some files and select 'Rename' the filename disappears with only the file remaining.

If you type, it appears that the file name (but not the extesnsion) is selected and changes if you type something, but it's hardly usable.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

nautilus-3.10.0-1.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible:

It's not completely consistent, but it doesn't take too long to happen, and moving around the list of files jumping up and down the list. Files like .odt and .pdf seems to have the biggest failure rate, but folders and other files do it to.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Files
2. Select a file and right click, select "Rename"

Actual results:

Filename disappears leaving only the icon.

Expected results:

Filename is selected (except extension) and visible.

Additional info:

I'm running alpha, but I'm all up to date.

This might be a duplicate of bug #1020894.

Comment 2 Rodd Clarkson 2013-11-13 05:20:47 UTC
I've had a bit of a click around and I can't trigger this bug anymore. Given the changes mentioned in bug #1020894 I'm confident that this has been resolved.

I'm using the version of nautilus mentioned in that bug and as I say, I can't make this happen anymore.
