Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Hans de Goede 2013-11-21 14:31:25 UTC
libusbx in RHEL-7 currently is at libusbx-1.0.15, upgrading to at least 1.0.18 (which is not yet released) will be necessary to get full USB-3.0 support, which is necessary to add full USB-3 support for the usb-redirection code for qemu (bug 976685).

Comment 2 Hans de Goede 2014-01-14 17:35:26 UTC
This rebase bug is intended for 7.1, updating flags to reflect this.

Comment 3 Chris Tatman 2015-12-15 16:22:30 UTC
Trinh,

Is this really something that HPE cares about? Do we need to keep tracking this for you?

Comment 4 Trinh Dao 2016-01-05 17:20:10 UTC
Hi Chris, we don't need to track this bug anymore since this bug belongs to yu.zhang16 on bug 1115797. I cannot found Yu on HPE email list.

I had remove hpe7.3bugs tracker from this bug.
Please follow up with Yu.

thanks,
trinh

libusb has been rebased to 1.0.20, this is fixed in libusbx-1.0.20-1.el7

Comment 11 Mike Gahagan 2016-06-17 15:20:45 UTC
Confirmed libusbx-1.0.20-1.el7.x86_64 is built and included in recent 7.3 trees. Tested with: RHEL-7.3-20160614.n.0
