Description Terry Wilson 2013-12-10 17:09:00 EST
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #997961 +++

Description of problem:
WARNING neutron.agent.linux.dhcp [-] FAILED VERSION REQUIREMENT FOR DNSMASQ. DHCP AGENT MAY NOT RUN CORRECTLY! Please ensure that its version is 2.59 or above!

The version of dnsmasq that ships with RHEL works properly with the Neutron dhcp-agent. RHOS patches around this warning, and the RDO el6 builds should as well.
Comment 1 Terry Wilson 2013-12-10 17:11:18 EST
When the RHOS 4.0 branch was created, it was created from the RDO branch, which didn't have a patch for removing this message. All that is required is to copy the patch over from RHOS 3.0 and s/quantum/neutron/

I see this with openstack-neutron-2013.2-16.el6ost.noarch

2014-01-15 12:20:38.465 28924 WARNING neutron.agent.linux.dhcp [-] FAILED VERSION REQUIREMENT FOR DNSMASQ. DHCP AGENT MAY NOT RUN CORRECTLY! Please ensure that its version is 2.59 or above!
Comment 9 Terry Wilson 2014-01-15 12:59:50 EST
Jon Thomas, that is because that isn't the correct version. It is openstack-neutron-2013.2.1-1.el6ost. 2013.2-16 is a previous version.
