A certain folder is missing from the "filesystem" package. It usually contains all folders for the *.mo files, but one is missing: /usr/share/locale/bn_BD/LC_MESSAGES/ However, that folder exists on my system anyway. But the parent folders stay unowned, and this is not allowed by the packaginmg guidelines. At least four packages install files there without ownership of the parent folder: policycoreutils-2.2.2-3.fc20.x86_64 system-config-date-1.10.6-1.fc20.noarch system-config-services-0.111.1-1.fc20.noarch system-config-users-1.3.5-1.fc20.noarch Currently I'm packaging modem-manager-gui [1] which contains such a translation. I have dropped it from the package for the time being, but I like to get it back soon. Before I file bugs against the packages mentioned above, it would be the most painless way to add the appropriate folders to the "filesystem" package. filesystem usually creates and owns the localization directories for iso 639 and iso 3166 locales, however, we already have a list of exceptions ( https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/filesystem.git/tree/lang-exceptions ) ... I'll add that one in next rawhide build of filesystem package.
(In reply to Ondrej Vasik from comment #1) > I'll add that one in next rawhide build of filesystem package. Is it possible to backport that to f20 also?
It wouldn't change much, as this is just about the "ownership" ... therefore it doesn't make sense to me. Could you please give me an expanation why to do F20 update for it?
Done in rawhide, filesystem-3.2-23.fc21.
