Description Blaster 2014-01-09 14:11:58 UTC
Description of problem:
Currently an ISO domain must be created and then ISO images "uploaded" to that domain so they are cataloged into the oVirt system. This is a lot of overhead and results in customers having duplicate storage for ISOs.

You should be able to take an existing directory of ISOs (NFS or local) and create an ISO domain or library usable from that share without having to duplicate the ISOs or go through some sort of import/upload process.

This way existing ISO libraries can be shared amongst many different purposes.

This would also satisfy BZ 1040297 I think.

This is an automated message.
This Bugzilla report has been opened on a version which is not maintained anymore.
Please check if this bug is still relevant in oVirt 3.5.4.
If it's not relevant anymore, please close it (you may use EOL or CURRENT RELEASE resolution)
If it's an RFE please update the version to 4.0 if still relevant.

Comment 4 Sven Kieske 2015-10-09 14:04:38 UTC
This is an RFE, thus it was never implemented, and still applies to latest master branch.

You should not automatically close RFEs, but retarget them to the last release.

Thanks

Sven
