How much RAM is in your system?
My Vaio Z600TEK has 256MB RAM (upgraded). Instead of the original HDD there is the Hitachi IC25N040ATCS05 installed, but this doesnt seems to be the problem.
Is test3 any better? Are there any messages about X dying on tty1 or oopsen on tty4?

Yes, the offical release of FC1 works for me great and installs without any problem. Thanks.
