RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Myricom 2014-02-11 09:58:05 UTC
We recently updated firmware images for myri10ge driver to 1.4.57. If possible, we like to include them in RHEL 7.

Here is the commit in linux-firmware.

As for earlier myri10ge bugs, see bug 1052123 and bug 1059561. We are not sure if "Component" should be linux-firmware or kernel.

We will do necessary testing on different NIC models in our lab. Thanks.

Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2014-03-22 06:04:00 UTC
This request was not resolved in time for the current release.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in
the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 6 Zhang Kexin 2014-09-30 06:22:33 UTC
Hi,
Do you commit to test this bug during rhel7.1 testing cycle? Thanks.

Comment 8 Myricom 2014-09-30 06:35:54 UTC
Zhang, we are not sure who you are asking. In case it is us (myricom), yes, we do want these new firmware images in the next RHEL release. The in-kernel driver already works with them. So do our in-house drivers. Thanks...

Comment 9 Myricom 2014-09-30 06:37:38 UTC
If wanted, we can also test the RHEL 7.1 release candidates in our lab.

Comment 10 Zhang Kexin 2014-09-30 06:44:38 UTC
Please test rhel7.1 if you could. Thank you.

Comment 11 Myricom 2014-09-30 07:02:50 UTC
Can you send us the link to the release candidate image? Thanks.

Comment 12 Zhang Kexin 2014-09-30 07:10:25 UTC
It has not been created yet. So please test it when it is ready. I should tell you earlier. :)

Comment 14 Myricom 2014-10-14 22:31:06 UTC
When the release candidate is ready, Please place it in ftp://partners.redhat.com/1c5d859a/12f2dcd88187182ce0c096bce3577569/ . Thank you.

Comment 15 Zhang Kexin 2015-01-16 10:54:25 UTC
@Myricom hi, are you partner of Redhat? If yes, you should already have access to Alpha, Beta, and snapshots and could you please contact your partner manager
for details about how to download the bits?

Comment 16 Myricom 2015-01-19 08:52:10 UTC
Hi, we are testing 7.1 beta. Will update this ticket soon. Thanks.

Comment 18 Myricom 2015-01-22 14:50:54 UTC
Hi RedHat team,

We have tested RedHat 7.1 Beta in our testbed. Everything looks correct. The firmware files are as expected. The driver also works as expected. Thanks!

Comment 19 Rachel Sibley 2015-01-22 14:58:17 UTC
Thank you Myricom, moving the status to Verified
