Description Tomas Jelinek 2014-02-11 15:09:35 UTC
If the "changePasswordMsg" is not set and the password expires, the message is:
"Cannot Login. User Password has expired, Please change your password."

If the "changePasswordMsg" is set, the "Cannot login. User Password has expired. Detailed message: <some message>" is shown.

After this there is no way to unset this value because the engine-manage-domains expects the "changePasswordMsg" to be non-blank when the "-changePasswordMsg" is specified.

Comment 1 Sandro Bonazzola 2014-03-04 09:30:55 UTC
This is an automated message.
Re-targeting all non-blocker bugs still open on 3.4.0 to 3.4.1.

Comment 2 Mooli Tayer 2014-07-15 14:06:09 UTC
This was already resolved and included back in 3.4.
This bug appears in commit but it looks like this has not been tested.

Changing to modified.

Comment 3 Ondra Machacek 2014-09-09 13:47:23 UTC
It's not working in rhevm-3.5.0-0.10.master.el6ev.noarch.

$ rhevm-manage-domains edit --domain=brq-openldap.rhev.lab.eng.brq.redhat.com --change-password-msg

even when I leave message blank or write some text,
in both cases login screen display message:
'
Cannot Login. User Password has expired. Use the following URL to change the password:
'

When I set some url, it's displayed OK.

Comment 4 Sandro Bonazzola 2015-01-21 16:05:44 UTC
oVirt 3.5.1 has been released, re-targeting to 3.5.2 as marked as urgent / high severity

Comment 5 Sandro Bonazzola 2015-03-03 12:49:36 UTC
Re-targeting to 3.5.3 since this bug has not been marked as blocker for 3.5.2 and we have already released 3.5.2 Release Candidate.

Comment 6 Oved Ourfali 2015-04-12 08:58:22 UTC
We are deprecating the engine-manage-domains tool, and this functionality isn't critical, so I'm closing this one as WONTFIX.
