Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): glusterfs-3.4.0.59rhs-1


How reproducible: doesn't happen everytime. 


Steps to Reproduce:
1. create and start a volume (6x2 with 4 nodes)
2. run command  "gluster volume set <VOL> cluster.extra-hash-regex '(.*)\.swp*'


Actual results: glusterd crashed 


Expected results: glusterd shouldn't crash.

Since the option is a DHT tunable, moving this bug to zteam

Cloning this bug in 3.1. To be fixed in future release.
