Description of problem: you can't select debian as an operating system for a vm Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): last version i checked was 3.3.3 but should still be true for master /3.4 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: can't select debian Expected results: can select debian Additional info:
Does it have some specific requirements for devices? Does it differ from existing Ubuntu OSes? If not, maybe just change to "Ubuntu/Debian"?
I don't know, I didn't test it with "Ubuntu" selected. Beside that, in which way do the numerous Ubuntu variants differ? What I did try was installing Debian 7 wheezy with OS "Linux" which worked for me. All virtio drivers where included as far as I can tell. Not sure if this is the info you needed?
(In reply to Sven Kieske from comment #2) yeah, exactly, the ubuntu versions do not differ at all… no issue adding debian, but we need to make a line somewhere as it doesn't make sense to just overfill the menu when there is no difference in any setting…It's just about the picture in UP:) …something like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/Debian_logo-black.png
now since we have a guest agent too (bug 1043474), it's a good time to add a UI entry...
