The printer is attached to the network via an iogear GPSU21 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1:1.7.1-6.fc20 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Fresh network install of Fedora 20, cups 1:1.7.1-6 is installed 2. yum install hpijs, system-config-printer (both already installed) 3. system-config-printer -- add printer, URL is http://x.x.x.x:631/lp1 Use attached PPD file 4. Open gedit, type "hello printer" and click Print. Actual results: Job gets submitted, but nothing happens Expected results: Job should print Additional info: Upon print failure, logs are: access_log localhost - - [17/Mar/2014:16:23:35 -0400] "POST /printers/Brother-HL-2140 HTTP/1.1" 200 11137 Print-Job successful-ok error_log E [17/Mar/2014:16:21:52 -0400] [Job 1] The printer is not responding. I reset my test VM and re-did the error_log (error_log with debug enabled -- take 2). I again don't see "The printer is not responding." in it. I then downgraded cups and cleared out the error_log, and then printed. That error_log is attached (error_log with cups downgraded) FWIW, the logs are very different. Let me know how else I can help.
