Description Julio Entrena Perez 2014-03-27 13:34:44 UTC
Description of problem:
When using the search bar to search for an item (e.g. a VM) after having scrolled to the second or later pages when more than 100 results exist causes the search to display "No items to display" even when there are matching items to display.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.3.1-0.48.el6ev

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to "Virtual Machines" tab and ensure that more than 100 VMs exist.
2. Scroll to the second or later pages (e.g. 101-200).
3. Search for a VM by name using the search bar, e.g. Vms:name=<vm_name>

Actual results:
"No items to display"

Expected results:
Searched for and existing VM is displayed.

Additional info:
"Scrolling back to the first page" (clicking the left arrow) shows the result.
Result should be displayed directly regardless of on which page the user was before committing the search.

@Julio - can you please re-test this on latest RHEV-3.4? there is evidence in duplicate bug 1123358 that this issue is already fixed.

thanks.

Thanks Einav, I can confirm that this seems to be working fine on 3.4.0-0.21.el6ev.

Can you try to recreate it on 3.5.0?

Cannot reproduce in rhevm-3.5.0-0.31.el6ev and neither in rhevm-3.5.1-0.1.el6ev.

Steps:
1. Have 107 VMs, only the first VM has name starting with 'a'.
2. Go to second page. Pagination info now shows "101/107".
3. Submit search query "Vms: name = a*".

Result:
Search query returns correctly one result. Pagination info is reset to "1/1".

This is resolved on the latest version.
