I can't install xmonad from EPEL 7 on RHEL 7.0 because the EPEL 7 repo is lacking the terminus-font package. Looks like an easy one to take care of, if the terminus-font owner does not want to maintain a branch for EPEL 7, I'll do it.
Okay but the dependency on terminus-fonts is actually coming from dmenu. In the meantime, it seems only possible to install xmonad-core, xmonad-config, and/or xmonad-mate. Did you ask the terminus-fonts owner about an epel7 branch? Anyway I asked in bug 486248.
Or perhaps better to reassign to terminus-fonts, unless you plan a workaround in dmenu?
(In reply to Jens Petersen from comment #2) > Or perhaps better to reassign to terminus-fonts, > unless you plan a workaround in dmenu? Yes, it'd be better to reassign the proper owner. But since you've emailed the owner of terminus, is it worthwhile doing this again? I have problem in my browser of changing the component process in bugzilla, feel free to do this. Thanks.
Hmm, seems no terminus-fonts component in bugzilla for EPEL 7 either.... Okay I cc'ed him in this bug too. He might have missed the bugzilla comment.

Any news here? Should be very easy to create epel7 branch for terminus-fonts.
I just tried to force removing terminus-fonts and checked that dmenu seems to work fine without terminus-fonts installed in RHEL7. Is it possible to drop the dependency on terminus-fonts from dmenu at least for EPEL 7? And/or I could temporarily drop the dependency on dmenu from xmonad until this is resolved. I contacted ndim again, hopefully at the right email address.
I just noticed that there was a epel7 branch and I went ahead and built it.
(In reply to Jens Petersen from comment #8) > I just noticed that there was a epel7 branch and I went ahead and built it. Yep, I requested it. Thanks for the build Jens.
This should be long fixed. Please reopen if you still see an issue.
