Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

New host
Description of problem:
Form "Create Host".
I have detected a mysterious behavior of "Name" text box. When we do not fill Domain field in "Network" tab and submit form. Application appends dot to the end of name and it shouts at me with message "must not include periods and is invalid". We remove dot from end of name, fill domain of host and submit form again. Process of creating starts, but we still see error message.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. We have got Sat 6.0.3, what is prepared to provision of machines (in my case EC2).
2. Open page "Hosts" > "New hosts"
3. Fill all fields, what application requires, except domain.
4. press submit button
5. Application appends dot into "Name" textbox and shows error message.
6. fix the name and domain field
7. press submit button again
8. We can see, that process started, but error message is still here.
Actual results:
- automatic adding of dot into "Name" field
- error message is still displayed after send of form
Expected results:
- no automatic adding of dot
- don't show a old error message
