Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-03 11:25:19 UTC
Description of problem:

On sync status page the result section is not reliable.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
sat6-snap7-compose2

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. after importing manifest, enable repos
2. sync partially a repo and cancel it.
3. Try re-syncing it again
4. within a min the status moves back to "cancel" state, even though the sync may be in progress.

Actual results:
Result shows "canceled" state, within a min or two.
No progress bar and no way to stop again if required as there is no cancel link visible.

Expected results:
Should show progress bar and allow to re cancel the sync.

Additional info:

On looking the disk activity via `df` command on the sat6 looks like the sync is still running.

Comment 1 RHEL Program Management 2014-06-03 11:47:25 UTC
Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 3 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-06-03 14:06:06 UTC
Also it looks like, the sync result never changes to "sync complete" from "canceled" state.

Comment 4 Brad Buckingham 2014-07-30 17:35:45 UTC
The sync management page is being updated to utilize angular and dynflow. Even with those changes, the feedback is that this bug will still be applicable.

Comment 5 Justin Sherrill 2014-08-04 19:10:43 UTC
This actually is solved by bz 1122249
