Previously, Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 were not supported, and the Windows Guest Tools setup on these unsupported operating systems returned an error message. With this update, support for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 have been added, and now the installation on these operating systems functions normally.
