This bug has been copied from bug #1106420 and has been proposed to be backported to 6.5 z-stream (EUS).
Fix included in qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.13
Fix NOT included in qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.13 due to broken build. Clearing "Fixed in Version" field and changing BZ status to POST.

Yes. ioeventfd should have more effects on high speed IO. The BW/CPU degradation has a separate bug (1121034) so I think this bug can be verified. Thanks, Fam
