I'm having similar problems with the combo box popups in the gtk3-demo app: the popup appears but then I'm unable to click on any of the entries. I'm not sure if this is related to the state flag changes in bug 1136985 or not. Combo boxes are working in both the GNOME and MATE live images, so I'm guessing this is another thing that gtk3 broke for theming engines :-(
Let's assume it's a dup of bug #1136985 , unless testing proves otherwise. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1136985 ***
