Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:
When trying to enable 'Red Hat Storage Server for On-premise' 'Red Hat Storage 3 Server (RPMs)' in the GUI the spinning "progress" dots just keep on spinning forever and ever and ever.

Attampting the same operation with Hammer CLI returns the following error:
  Could not enable repository:
Forbidden - server refused to process the request

In the product.log I see:
Katello::Errors::SecurityViolation: CDN loading error: access forbidden to https://cdn.redhat.com:443/content/dist/rhel/server/6/6Server/x86_64/rhs-server/3/os/repodata/
  Completed 403 Forbidden in 3310ms (Views: 0.3ms | ActiveRecord: 15.2ms)

NOTE: Same problem with 'Red Hat Storage Management Console for RHEL Server' ' Red Hat Storage 3 Console (RPMs)'

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. hammer repository-set enable --organization 'Stockholm LAB' --product 'Red Hat Storage Server for On-premise' --name 'Red Hat Storage 3 Server (RPMs)' --basearch x86_64 --releasever 6Server

Actual results:
 Could not enable repository:
Forbidden - server refused to process the request

Expected results:

Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 5 Harald Jensås 2014-10-09 13:16:17 UTC
I was able to solve this problem by regenerating the manifest on customer poral, and refreshing the manifest in Satellite 6.

It is however bad user experience that no error is presented at the GUI, the spinner just keeps on spinnning...

Comment 7 Brad Buckingham 2015-09-09 18:32:14 UTC
Changes went in to a later z-stream of 6.0 to provide users with additional information when errors occur while enabling/disabling Red Hat repositories; therefore, going to close this bug as a duplicate of the one that provided that solution.
