Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
Tried to query the patch in qemu-img-rhev-1.5.3-60.el7_0.11.x86_64, but did not find the fixed patch include in the qemu-kvm-rhev-1.5.3-60.el7_0.11.x86_64 at all.
host info:
# uname -r && rpm -q qemu-kvm

qemu-kvm-rhev-1.5.3-60.el7_0.11.x86_64
# rpm -ql --changelog qemu-kvm-rhev-1.5.3-60.el7_0.11.x86_64 | grep 1167224
<----nothing output at all.
# rpm -ql --changelog qemu-kvm-rhev-1.5.3-60.el7_0.11.x86_64 | grep 1166605

- kvm-raw-posix-The-SEEK_HOLE-code-is-flawed-rewrite-it.patch [bz#1166605]
- Resolves: bz#1166605
Base on above, the fixed patch did not include in the qemu-kvm-rhev-1.5.3-60.el7_0.11.x86_64 at all, but it include the bz#1166605, maybe the code include it but the log was wrote wrong. Move to re-assign to fixed correctly.
BTW, the component should move to qemu-kvm-rhev.
Best Regards,
sluo
Hi Sluo,
When I did the backport this BZ did not yet exist, therefore I had to use the 7.1 BZ. The patches are absolutely the same, so from my perspective it does not need to be fixed. However, if we really need to, I think we should ask the 7.0 maintainer(s).

Hi Sibiao,
as Max stated in his reply, patches are properly in the build. Changelog is not precise (as it points to 7.1 BZ). However, this minor typo is not reason to fail QA.
In addition, component is qemu-kvm as we use shared code for qemu-kvm and qemu-kvm-rhev in RHEL 7.0.
Returning back to ON_QA state. Please verify the fix.
