This will be solved via Cinder integration.

Comment 8 Sandro Bonazzola 2019-01-28 09:43:52 UTC
This bug has not been marked as blocker for oVirt 4.3.0.
Since we are releasing it tomorrow, January 29th, this bug has been re-targeted to 4.3.1.

Another KCS for the same topic: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3231611

I found multiple bugs related to the subject and multiple kcs:
bz#1498340 - ISCSI targets with multiple discovery IP's provides only a single path for Direct LUN's to VM
bz#1126945 - Bug 1126945 - [RFE][Cinder] - Add multipath for LUNs

Avihai,
Can you please test and confirm if the workaround suggested in the last KCS is correct and working or not?
This will help us understanding the scope of this bug.

Currently, we are really busy with 4.4GA tasks, this is targeted to 4.5 with medium priority.
Why are we testing workarounds? Is this the suggested fix to this bug?

We do not have the capacity to test customer workarounds as well as bug verifications.

IF the solution is with the workaround DEV should ACK this solution, move the bug to ON_QA and when we get the time to test it we will of course.

Avihai/ Tal

This bug seems to be either fixed or not important.
Before we close it, can you please confirm the expected behavior and if all working as expected, let's just close it. And if no, and can't fix, let's still close and refer to KCS.

Thank you.

Comment 18 Peter Lauterbach 2021-04-07 15:12:36 UTC
due to the complexity of managing paths for direct LUNs across the different storage domain types, and the ability to manage this within Openshift Virtualization, this will not be implemented in RHV. Closing this RFE.
User can continue to the attached KCS articles, and their current automations for storage path management.
