AFAIU, this commit point to Weld 3.x and according to Chao Wang this blocks an update to Weld 1.1.29.Final. As this BZ has been targeted for 6.4.z, it seems that a backport is needed. I'll work on that then (hence moving the status to ASSIGNED).

This fix is already present in the 1.1 branch, this is the correct commit: https://github.com/weld/core/commit/d2f8ace74b48d0b0b30f10a2a25fa1f618af9d77

We need reproducers (as discussed with Carlo to increase CP size) for related Weld bugs which will be fixed in CP01.
