Description Neal Becker 2004-03-18 14:36:33 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.2; Linux) (KHTML, like Gecko)

Description of problem:
autofs starts before slapd. If you use ldap for your mount maps this won't work.

Since autofs using ldap is standard, but having ldap depend on autofs is not, it is better to start slapd first.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
chkconfig-1.3.9-1.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot
2.
3.

I just got bit by this same problem. It's a real PITA, too, since it causes all sorts of
problems for user logins or other services that rely on automounted directories. Given
that LDAP is serving the same purpose as NIS in this situtation, the ldap script should
probably start up around S26 just like the ypserv script.

This is a dupe of bug 67753.

Comment 3 Jay Fenlason 2006-01-11 17:02:59 UTC
According to the CVS logs, this was fixed for Fedora Core 4
