Fixed In Version: openstack-ec2-api-1.0.2-1.1.el7ost
Doc Type: Enhancement
Doc Text:
This enhancement adds a standalone service which provides an API for OpenStack compatibility with the EC2 API. This was added because the built-in functionality that previously provided this has been deprecated and removed from Compute (nova). As a result, users who still need this compatibility can install and configure the standalone service instead.

Description RHOS Integration 2015-02-05 13:58:15 UTC
Cloned from launchpad blueprint https://blueprints.launchpad.net/nova/+spec/ec2-api.

Description:

This project provides a standalone EC2 API service separate from Nova
which pursues two goals:
1. Implement EC2 VPC API which now absent in Nova's EC2 API.
2. Extract existing EC2 Nova functionality to decouple it from Nova and fill the gaps.

Hi Radomir,

Have you had a chance to look at this at all? From a packaging perspective RDO Mitaka builds are already occurring so this likely needs to be packaged ASAP to make it into the relevant RHOSP builds.

Thanks,

Steve

Comment 6 Radomir Dopieralski 2016-02-24 16:08:13 UTC
Yes, I have tried the Fedora package and it worked for me on RHEL without any changes. But when I asked for a Gerrit/CI setup for this, I was told we don't yet have that for OSP8.

Comment 7 Radomir Dopieralski 2016-02-24 16:10:16 UTC
Sorry, I meant OSP9.

Comment 8 Radomir Dopieralski 2016-02-24 16:53:32 UTC
I'm working on getting it included now, thank you for the reminder.

There is a successful brew build: https://brewweb.devel.redhat.com/taskinfo?taskID=10599881

Hi Radomir,

Just to confirm this will be in the RHOS-9 puddles and ready for testing?

Thanks,

Steve
