Comment 1 Laura Novich 2015-02-10 10:45:54 UTC
Items that need fixing in this round include:
1. 6.3.2. Creating a New Logical Network in a Data Center or Cluster - topic 7329
http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/Administration_Guide/sect-Logical_Network_Tasks.html#Creating_a_New_Logical_Network_in_a_Data_Center_or_Cluster and 6.3.3. Editing a Logical Network - topic 7336 http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/Administration_Guide/sect-Logical_Network_Tasks.html#To_edit_a_logical_network each need an cross reference to 6.3.4. Explanation of Settings and Controls in the New and Edit Logical Networks Windows - topic 10028 http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/Administration_Guide/sect-Logical_Network_Tasks.html#sect-Explanation_of_Settings_and_Controls_in_the_New_and_Edit_Logical_Networks_Windows

2. Add a note to 6.3.2. Creating a New Logical Network in a Data Center or Cluster - topic 7329, and all other subsequent topics that have MTU should be checked as well.
http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/Administration_Guide/sect-Logical_Network_Tasks.html#Creating_a_New_Logical_Network_in_a_Data_Center_or_Cluster and 6.3.3. Editing a Logical Network - topic 7336 http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html/Administration_Guide/sect-Logical_Network_Tasks.html#To_edit_a_logical_network

that explains the default MTU - can be set to another value as well but it will be used as the value for all MTU default settings. the change is made in engine-config. put in an xref to the technical guide or maybe the install guide?
the CLI commands are here:
Set a new value:
[root@dhcp160-207 ~]# engine-config -s DefaultMTU=2000
confirm change:
[root@dhcp160-207 ~]# engine-config -g DefaultMTU
DefaultMTU: 2000 version: general
need to restart the engine-config service to take effect.

once the new default is set, it will be used for all subsequent MTU default configurations. - need to check if it applies to former changes.
