Attaching several Direct LUNs to a VM is supported in 3.5.0 (and probably in 3.4 too, I admit I did not bisect when exactly this was added).

From the Disks subtab under the VMs maintab:
1. Select multiple disks using the CTRL button
2. Click attach
3. Click External (Direct LUN)
4. Check all the relevant disks
5. Click OK to confirm

There is a copy-paste error here. The first step is obviously a mistake, and cannot be done. Steps 2-5 are in fact the correct steps:
