Description Meghana 2015-03-16 11:40:40 UTC
Description of problem:

Start NFS-Ganesha in a way that is independent of the platform it is running.

Comment 1 Niels de Vos 2015-03-17 12:12:59 UTC
GlusterD gained the ability to start the nfs-ganesha service. However, the 'service' command is hardcoded for this and that might not be suitable/clean enough for all distributions.

The idea is to use the 'service' command on RHEL6, 'systemctl' on RHEL7 and Fedora, and whatever other commands other distributions use.

This bug is getting closed because a release has been made available that should address the reported issue. In case the problem is still not fixed with glusterfs-3.7.0, please open a new bug report.

glusterfs-3.7.0 has been announced on the Gluster mailinglists [1], packages for several distributions should become available in the near future. Keep an eye on the Gluster Users mailinglist [2] and the update infrastructure for your distribution.
