Description Heiko Adams 2015-04-03 17:20:45 UTC
Description of problem:
Since version 37 firefox supports transparent tooltips which causes current tooltips beeing unreadable because of having a transparent background.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

greybird-gtk2-theme-1.5.3-2.fc22.noarch
greybird-xfce4-notifyd-theme-1.5.3-2.fc22.noarch
greybird-gtk3-theme-1.5.3-2.fc22.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install greybird theme
2. Make sure firefox 37 is installed
3. (Re)Start firefox
4. Move the mouse-cursor on an inactive tab

Actual results:
The tooltip pops up with an transparent background which makes it unreadable

This issue has been fixed with commit 57f29e7b6c5f1b0f16cc6991e57634bf64a16c9e so it would be nice if you could apply that patch.

Can you confirm this scratch build fixes things for you:

I'm experiencing the same issue using the clearlooks-phenix theme on Xfce, more precisely these are the packages that I have installed:

clearlooks-phenix-gtk3-theme-6.0.3-1.fc22.noarch
clearlooks-phenix-gtk2-theme-6.0.3-1.fc22.noarch
clearlooks-phenix-xfwm4-theme-6.0.3-1.fc22.noarch
clearlooks-phenix-common-6.0.3-1.fc22.noarch

I tried switching to greybird (of which I have version 1.5.3-4) and the problem still happens.

Comment 9 Gabriele Svelto 2015-07-09 09:40:58 UTC
Small correction to comment 8, I have switched the theme to greybird and then restarted Firefox and the issue is indeed fixed, I still have it only when using clearlooks-phenix.

Comment 10 Kevin Fenzi 2015-07-09 18:56:46 UTC
Can you please file a new bug against that package?

It also happens to Bluebird in xfce4.
