Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1245810
Adding ECC support to OpenJDK 8 through NSS+SunEC
Last modified: 2016-11-03 18:55:03 EDT
This is a clone of bug 1208307 which makes the same change on RHEL 6. It follows bug 1121210 which added elliptic curve cryptography support in OpenJDK 7 for RHEL 7.2.
Can I ask what is happening with this bug fix? It says it is fixed in version java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.72-4.b15.el7 but we are already on version java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.91-1.b14.el7_2 and ECC is still disabled.
The fix is scheduled for release in RHEL 7.3. java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.72-4.b15.el7 is a RHEL 7.3 RPM. java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.91-1.b14.el7_2 is a RHEL 7.2 RPM.
