We are seeing the same behavior in OSP6 on RHEL7:

2015-07-27 09:17:12.301 54276 ERROR ceilometer.hardware.discovery [-] Couldn't obtain IP address ofinstance <ID of Instance>
2015-07-27 09:17:12.301 54276 ERROR ceilometer.hardware.discovery [-] Couldn't obtain IP address ofinstance <ID of Instance>

Environment uses flat VLAN configuration.

There are still same bugs. Has the patch already been released?

Comment 7 Shinobu KINJO 2015-10-16 08:38:04 UTC
Customer is using Keystone V3 API.

Comment 12 Mehdi ABAAKOUK 2016-11-28 13:11:23 UTC
Keystone V3 is supported by Ceilometer only since OSP9, and the patch is impossible to backport to older version.
