Description Martin Bašti 2015-09-21 13:00:15 UTC
Description of problem:
I'm unable to copy IPv6 address from user portal when 2 or more IPv6 addresses are present (what is quite usual because one is link local address).

IPv6 six addresses are shown in popup hint, in Network Interfaces/Guest Agent Data. It is quite unpleasant to retype IPv6 address.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.5

How reproducible:
When VM has 2 or more IPv6 address configured.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
Addresses are shown in popup hint, unable to copy them.

Expected results:
Be able to copy IPv6 addresses

Comment 1 Yaniv Kaul 2015-09-22 07:57:41 UTC
Is it OK in the Admin portal?

Comment 2 Martin Bašti 2015-09-22 08:03:09 UTC
I'm not allowed to access the admin portal

Comment 3 Yaniv Kaul 2015-09-22 08:34:42 UTC
But an admin can. Please check or work with the admin to find out.

Comment 6 Yaniv Kaul 2015-09-22 08:53:22 UTC
David, Martin - yes, it is relevant if the functionality is working in the admin portal.
If it isn't, the bug is more severe than if it's just in the user portal.

It's also interesting if it's an IPv6 specific issue, or happens with IPv4 addresses as well (again, it's a more severe issue as IPv4 is a bit more in use than IPv6...)

In any case, it's much more polite to respond to the Needinfo and not to clear the flag without replying to it.

Comment 7 Yaniv Kaul 2015-09-22 08:54:18 UTC
moving NeedInfo to RHEV QE.

Comment 8 Martin Bašti 2015-09-22 08:57:34 UTC
I did not clear the flag, you did.

I don't have info you requested, I passed your request to my lab administrator.

Comment 9 Pavel Stehlik 2015-09-22 11:06:48 UTC
This is valid for both - UserPortal and WebAdmin interface.
VMs tab - NetworkInterfaces subtab - select NIC - Guest Agent Data
IPv4/IPv6 can't be selected nor copied (IPv4 - when 2 IPs; IPv6 - when 2 IPs)

Current screen with IPs.

Comment 11 Dan Kenigsberg 2016-01-31 13:52:07 UTC
This is basically the same as bug 1193426, right?

Comment 12 Martin Bašti 2016-02-01 08:08:25 UTC
Not, it is NOT the same bug.

Comment 13 Yaniv Lavi 2018-06-06 07:41:48 UTC
