Created attachment 1081966 [details] log Description of problem: The operation of attaching a cinder volume of a domain located in one datacenter to a VM located in a cluster that belongs a different datacenter should be blocked, as the current design supports one cinder domain per datacenter. The VM is un-usable and every action that is attempted(except snapshot creation) end with CDA message: "Cannot run VM. Storage Domain doesn't exist" Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rhevm-3.6-14 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: * have setup with two datacenters, one of them has cinder domain 1.create a VM on the cluster that belongs to the 'non-cinder datacenter' 2.create one floating cinder volume 3.attach the floating disk to the VM 4.attempt to run VM, create template etc. Actual results: The successful operation ends with un-usable VM that prompts CDA upon every action Expected results: This bug will handle the UX part of the bug -> * disks from a different datacenter should not be offered at the pop up attach menu. Will be opened as a separate bug * the operation should be blocked from api Additional info:
this was merged to 3.6.0 branch, hence its in 3.6.0 code. should it still stay in 3.6.1 target release?
