RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Don Zickus 2016-01-07 16:39:04 UTC
Description of problem:

Paul's new Microsoft bluetooth keyboard and mouse refused to pair nicely. I provided a 5.36 scratch build of bluez and it fixed his issue.

A bunch of other bluetooth related fixes are probably resolved with this rebase too. Might be worth doing.

Comment 3 PaulB 2016-01-08 14:32:17 UTC
All,
I am running:
 distro: RHEL-7.2
 kernel: 3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64
 bluez: 5.23-4.el7

Issue:
Microsoft bluetooth keyboard and mouse model#1678, 1679 failed to pair

Bluetooth maintainer dzickus provided updated version of bluez:
 http://download.eng.bos.redhat.com/brewroot/scratch/dzickus/task_10302798/

/me updated to dzickus bluez: 5.36-1.el7_2
bluetooth keyboard and mouse now successfully pair

Also with bluetooth keyboard and mouse trusted system successfully
connects to keyboard and mouse following sleep and reboot.

Thx dzickus.

Best,
-pbunyan

Hi,

I also put them on my people page

http://people.redhat.com/dzickus/rhel7/.bluez_12345

so it doesn't get reaped by brew next week. :-)

Cheers,
Don

Manual Bluetooth testing against RHEL-7.3-20160909.n.0 has been successful. Performed testing with playing audio to Bluetooth speaker, using a cellphone as a Bluetooth mobile broadband modem, and sending a file from a computer to a cellphone. Verifying as SanityOnly.
