Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Mike McCune 2016-03-09 21:20:35 UTC
To assist users with Satellite 6.2's new installation routine we need a shell script for 'katello-installer' that just exits with an error stating:

# katello-installer
ERROR: katello-installer is no longer used. Please see foreman-installer

if we decide to re-brand to 'satellite-installer' have it point at the new command.

Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/14416 from this bug

Comment 6 Bryan Kearney 2016-03-31 14:23:52 UTC
Moving to POST since upstream bug http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/14416 has been closed

Applied in changeset commit:katello-installer|843be62c64ffd559518c7d4757530b15f21609d2.

Comment 7 Brad Buckingham 2016-03-31 14:52:53 UTC
I am moving this back to assigned. We need the packaging changes upstream as well, before this can go to POST.

The fix will be 2 commits (one to katello-installer and one to katello-packaging).

Comment 8 Brad Buckingham 2016-04-01 14:37:55 UTC
Both PRs have now been merged; therefore, moving bugzilla to POST.

Comment 9 jcallaha 2016-04-06 19:17:22 UTC
Verified in Satellite 6.2 Beta Snap 6 compose 2.

ERROR: katello-installer is no longer used. Please use 'foreman-installer --scenario katello'.
