Description of problem: This bug is to track changes required to rebase nfs-ganesha packages to upstream 2.3 stable release. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
Note that rebasing to nfs-ganesha-2.3.x should use the now unbundled libntirpc. libntirpc has yet to be added as a separate package in RHGS channels.
Do we need a separate BZ for adding libntirpc or can we rebase nfs-ganesha and add libntirpc under this BZ?
The rebased build is made available. Current ganesha build is 2.3.1-4. Verified the installation and performed the basic cases on both RHEL 6 and RHEL 7 platform. Installation and few regressions are successful. All the issues reported are being tracked separately by other bz. Hence, moving this bug to verified state
Soumya, I have edited the doc text based on the errata lore: http://jenkinscat.gsslab.pnq.redhat.com:8080/job/Errata_Lore%20%28html-single%29/lastStableBuild/artifact/tmp/en-US/html-single/index.html#rebase Please review and sign-off.
The doc text looks good to me. Shouldn't we highlight few key fixes or improvements done?
Soumya, I have updated the doc text, based on the standard rebase text format. If these are significant improvements, recommend it to be added in Release Notes than only in the erratum. But, if you think it is better we add both in the errata and RN, happy to update this doc text.
Divya, Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense. We already have BZs to document major improvements which shall be added to RN I guess. I am fine with the current doc text for this BZ.
